Lead with Love

'Lead with Love' is a leadership transformation course for people who are dedicated to co-creating a positive workplace community.

To lead with love and demonstrate care, leaders need to create a culture where people:

Understand each other: Working in diverse workplaces with colleagues from around the world can make communicating a challenge; even with good intentions things can get lost in translation. When we foster a sense of wonderment, and show genuine interest in our colleagues, by listening deeply to what is being said (and not said), asking curiosity fuelled questions, and creating time to hear about worries and concerns, people are more likely to feel heard, seen and cared about.

Accept each other: When people feel accepted for who they are and how they are, tolerance for each other increases within the organisation, leading to the co-creation of a more forgiving and peaceful work space. Acceptance of others grows from self-acceptance.

Trust each other: Being vulnerable takes courage. In an organisation where people feel ‘safe’ to ask for help and support, problems can be addressed, solutions are created sooner, and a culture of learning and growth is fostered, in place of a blame culture. Growing trust requires psychological safety to be integral, which means that leaders need to be confidential, good communicators, emotionally resilient and able to self-regulate.

Embrace difficult conversations: When people within an organisation feel safe and take brave steps into difficult conversations, issues can be addressed instead of ignored, and, if carried out well, the way people relate to each other can be improved. Holding difficult conversations requires a range of skills, including: empathic listening, active listening, compassion, and assertiveness, as well as being a psychologically safe person.

The 'Lead with Love' course, provides participants with the knowledge and practical skills to grow into a stronger heart-centred people.

Course Overview

When a leader truly cares, important core values are prioritised, time is made to listen, be present, accept and support people, diversity and inclusion themes are actively practiced, and there is a conscious strive towards co-creating a working and living culture of peace, freedom, happiness, and harmony. Being a heart-centred leader contributes to psychological well-being, talent retention, increased productivity, effective communication, improved trust, and greater energy to drive success stories.

'Lead with Love' brings you the knowledge and practices to facilitate heart-centred leadership development, including: self-esteem growth, mind mastery, emotional resilience and self-regulation techniques, communication skills, acceptance and inclusivity awareness, people empowerment practices, and recognition of what it means to lead with care, compassion and kindness.

True leadership is about standing in love; it is about fully living your truth, passion and purpose, modelling the values of your heart,
 and showing genuine care.

Course Outline

Introduction:
What it means to be a heart-centred leader, why it matters to you and your organisation, and what it takes to live it.

Part One: Identity
We shall explore who you want to become and how you want to grow as a leader. This means addressing behaviour patterns, mindset, skillset, values and resources, and identifying what needs to happen to bridge the gap between where you are now, and your leadership objective.

Part Two: Self-Esteem Development
To be a person who authentically models heart-centred values, you have to love, like and believe in yourself. We consider the balance between your internal voice of self-love and any negative 'voices', and how to break free from  conditioned beliefs and subconscious programming, to cultivate a mindset that supports heart-centred leadership practice.

Part Three: Mind Mastery
Learn the principles of mindfulness and learn to take charge of your mind,so that you can influence how you think, feel and act, and become a master of yourself, crafting new cognitive and behavioural patterns to support the type of heart-centred leader that you want to become.

Part Four: Emotional Resilience and Self-Regulation
Essential to inspired and love-based leadership is the ability to self-regulate and be emotionally resilient. You will hear about how people develop emotional resilience and self-regulation, and learn practices to support your emotional development.

Part Five: Stress Management
Learn about the cause and development of stress, how it impacts the brain, how to interrupt the stress response and apply mind and body relaxation practices to generate inner calm, so that you can lead with love in the most challenging times.

Part Six: Anxiety and Fear Management
To be a leader who models heart-centred values, knowing how to counter fear and anxiety is an essential practice. In the presence of fear, heart-centred values can be lost. In the presence of courage and bravery, they grow.

Part Seven: Communication Adaptation
You will learn about different communication styles and how to adapt to them when you recognise them (With reference to the DISC model), to facilitate inclusive practice.

Part Eight: Empathic Listening
You will experience being heard and learning to listen from the heart.

Part Nine: Diversity and Inclusion
This is a time for discussion on how you want to model and practice being inclusive and how to foster an inclusive culture at work.

Part Ten: Growing People
We shall reflect on: building rapport, setting clear expectations and consequences, aligning vision, OKR's and love-based values, communicating SMART goals, motivating and delegating, and how to communicate these through a coaching style.

Part Eleven: Coaching Skills
Socratic questioning will be taught and practiced in small groups, with a discussion on when to apply coaching, mentoring or teaching communication styles.

Part Twelve: Ensuring Success
We shall form a clear personal care and growth plan, incorporating the knowledge and skills gained from this course to provide a personal guide that allows you to integrate heart-centred leadership skills and measure you on-going integration progress.
