My quest for the truth about life and beyond often leads me into interesting realms; from modern science to ancient mysticism and now into the world of those past on. Although I have explored clairvoyancy for several years and recognise how it can bring clarity to current situations and offer insight on what is being drawn into ones life, my encounters with the spirit realms remains somewhat elusive, for although it has been affirmed by those who I have given reading to, that I have indeed made contact with their dead relations, personally, I am not convinced that this is anything more than mind reading, and I am very open about this.

To see an image in my minds eye of a spirit being and to then bring forth information, such as a name, age and description of events from their life is information that, I believe, can be gained by reading the mind and memories held in the mind. Yes, that in itself is quite impressive, but this does not bring evidence for the afterlife, only of mind reading capability, which I believe we all have at vary levels and degree.

So how will I get this evidence for the afterlife? A good question. If a spirit person were to physically manifest before me and give information about the future, information that is unknown to me and beyond the realms of my own thoughts, dreams and ideas, information which at a later dates proves to come true, then I may become convinced. This is has been my status for quite sometime. However, two weeks ago I went to a mediumship show in Estepona, to watch the celebrated Donna Stewart, a well-known British medium often seen on television. I wanted to observe what was happening during her performance; was she mind reading, or was she really communicating with the dead?
I took notes the whole way through the show, so that I could analyse what was really occurring. If Donna gave accurate descriptions, names, birthdays and memories, then I would applaud her for being a great mind reader. Indeed, this is the conclusion I came to after witnessing her deliver this type of information, which is much the same as other mediums who apparently communicate with the dead. However, my views changed when I went for a private reading with her the following day.

My mother and I decided to have a joint reading because we both wanted to connect with her parents, my grandparents, and, I would be better able to observe what was really occurring in this situation. I arrived with a very open mind as to what could be, because I want there to be an afterlife, because it would indicate that there is far more to this life than the here and now, and that we are part of some grand design rather than a random act of chaos, a chance encounter with no reason or purpose, other than to survive this remarkable experience that is life. At first, it seemed to me that mind reading was occurring, but then I noticed that Donna had another gift, the ability to sense emotion; a clairsentient ability. This enabled her to sense physical and emotional issues with my mother, which proved accurate. Then, Donna turned to me and began to tell me about things that had occurred with grandmother when I was just eight or nine years of age, distant memories that I’d almost forgotten from over twenty years ago. To be able to read my mind that far back seems impossible, though of course it may be true

Donna then relayed information to my mother, from my grandmother, of events that have occurred since her passing. To me, this rules out the possibility of Donna tuning into the distant memories held by my mother, or indeed held by the lingering energy imprint of my granny. Her words indicated that she was communicating with a conscious being that has continued to ‘live’ on in the afterlife.

How is this explained? In many cases you could say the information being given will fit with many situations and that the medium has just got lucky. But, the information being given was very specific and of great value, because it brought deep healing for my mother.
If Donna was not communicating with my grandmother then where was she getting the information? I know she could not have done any research behind our backs, because the information is unknown to anyone other than my brother and sister. The only logical explanation I can give, is that Donna was somehow reading our subconscious mind and the far distant memories of childhood days that may be lingering in some layer of our auric field. It is my conclusion that either this was the case, or that she was indeed communicating with my grandmother. Both possibilities are quite remarkable and indicate a highly gifted lady. If Donna was just reading energy fields, then she managed to pinpoint information that brought deep healing. If this is what others gain by seeing such people as Donna Stewart, then the worst-case scenario is that they may receive deep healing from such an experience and, based on my mothers experience I would say the session was worth far more than we paid. The best scenario is that real communication is indeed occurring, proving that our souls life on in the afterlife.

I am hovering on the fence, I want to believe, but I want more evidence.

Certainly, I can recommend Donna, because I am certain that whatever the truth may be about how she is accessing information, I know that she is sincere in wanting to help and heal people and this she does.
